A little about me and my family ...
I was born and raised in a small town in Texas, called Grand Saline. If you've never heard of it, you might be surprised - it is the home of the Morton Salt Mine. So, the salt in your kitchen probably came from my hometown! I graduated with a degree in Business Analysis from Texas A&M University. A few years ago I decided to go back to school to obtain my Teacher's Certification. I attended MSU here in West Plains. I taught 3rd grade for four years at Junction Hill. I completed my Masters of Science in Counseling at MSU Springfield. In 2022 I completed my Specialist's Degree from MSU, allowing me to become the school psychological examiner. This is my 15th year as counselor.
My husband was in the Army so we have traveled and lived in many places. One of the things I enjoy most is bringing my love of travel and learning about new places into my classroom. I have collected many items from the different places I have traveled and I will bring them in to share with the students.
I have five children (all boys) and four grandchildren (3 girls and 1 boy). I love spending time with my boys, their wives, and especially my grandbabies! During the summer months I enjoy reading, working in my yard, doing projects around my house, and traveling. I also love to cook - which is a good thing with my growing family!
